29 Mar Your rehab is important! Your medical appointment is considered acceptable travel during our “stay-at-home” order.
Body One Physical Therapy takes our role as health care providers seriously, and we are acting under both current U.S. Homeland Security guidelines as “essential healthcare workers” and American Physical Therapy Association guidelines as providers helping flatten the curve of the novel Coronavirus spread. By continuing to see patients, and treating them for pain and problems of the musculoskeletal system, we help both patients and the overall larger healthcare system by reducing demands on specialists and family practitioners.
We are seeing patients at our three Central Indiana locations, and are following all current recommendations to ensure safety of both our team members and our clients. As we announced previously, this entails: reducing/eliminating waiting room time, thoughtful and intentional staffing arrangement, and methodical routine and deep sanitizing in addition to carefully screening each patient prior to treatment.
As you may have heard, today Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb announced a “stay at home” order for those not going to work or necessary travel. Our practice does fall under an “essential service” according to the Indiana State Department of Health, and your medical appointment is also acceptable travel. We are committed to the health and wellness of our clients and team, and are glad we’re able to offer our services and do our part to ensure your health in this difficult time.
