Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist

What is an OCS and why is it important?

An Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) is a physical therapist who has earned board certification as a specialist in orthopaedics. Therapists with this credential have completed at least 2,000 hours of direct orthopaedic patient care and have passed an additional certification exam after extensive preparation and endless studying. This is in addition to having earned their doctorate in PT! A recipient of this distinction demonstrates advanced evaluation and clinical skills which in turn benefits their patients in all aspects of their care.

There currently are a total of 15,896 Physical Therapists in the United States that are an OCS; 186 of them are in Indiana. Body One is proud to have 6 therapists with the OCS distinction!
