Challenge 1: Get Moving Challenge

If you haven’t paid much attention to your step count, now is a great time to start! We are kicking off (no pun intended) the Movement Matters Club with the Get Moving Challenge. We want to help you increase your step count with a reasonable goal that takes your fitness level into account.

To begin the challenge:

  • Get your baseline steps for a day using a smartphone app, smartwatch, or pedometer.
  • Pick a week to start your challenge.
  • Track your progress using our printable sheet below.
  • Add 250 steps each day and gain 1,750 steps more each week!
  • Build confidence and accomplishment as you increase your steps and reach an extra 6,000-7,000 steps in a month!
  • TIP: It only takes 1-2 minutes of walking to average 100 steps!
