Bachelor’s Degree in Human Physiology, University of Iowa 2018
Dr. Lucas Houska received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology from the University of Iowa in 2018. Lucas subsequently completed the nationally-ranked Physical Therapy Program at the University of Iowa, graduating with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2020 and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, AOPTA, and Indiana State PTA. His clinical training ranging from internships at a Level One Trauma Center Hospital, to Orthopedic Outpatient Clinical care, vestibular care, and general rehabilitation at all levels, affords him a broad spectrum of expertise in patient care.
Lucas developed an early interest in Physical Therapy as a Cross Country and Track runner in high school. A Physical Therapy patient himself, treatment allowed Lucas to compete at the state varsity level repeatedly, despite shin splints and stress fractures to the tibia. Patients appreciate the empathy that Lucas brings to their care through his own personal experience with orthopedic challenges and rehabilitation. Lucas takes pride in his thorough approach to patient care and dedicates himself to providing personalized attention and result driven treatment for every patient.
When not treating patients, Lucas enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, fishing, and strength conditioning. An avid basketball fan, he can often be found cheering on his favorite Big Ten and NBA teams.
