Associates in Physical Therapy Assisting, University of Indianapolis 2020

Alicia Hood graduated in 2020 from the University of Indianapolis with her AAS in Physical Therapy Assisting and was awarded Top Scholar and Nora Francis Founder’s Award.

Alicia continues an active role with the University of Indianapolis Physical Therapist Assistant program as a clinical teaching assistant.  In July, she was elected as the Treasurer of the Indiana APTA Central District Chapter and Winner of 2022 Indiana APTA PTA of the Year.

Alicia loves being a Physical Therapy Assistant treating various conditions/injuries and individualizing treatment for each patient and collaborating with the Physical Therapist to provide the best care. Alicia completed the nine-month post-professional residency program at Body One/University of Indianapolis for the Advanced Training of Physical Therapists.

When Alicia isn’t helping patients at Body One, she and her boyfriend enjoy spending time with their two miniature schnauzers. She also loves college basketball, watching her boyfriend play softball, traveling to see family, and beach vacations.
