Orthopedic Clinical Specialist

What is an OCS and why is it important?

An Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) is a physical therapist who has earned board certification as a specialist in orthopedics. Therapists with this credential have completed at least 2,000 hours of direct orthopedic patient care and have passed an additional certification exam after extensive preparation and endless studying. This is in addition to having earned their doctorate in PT! A recipient of this distinction demonstrates advanced evaluation and clinical skills which in turn benefits their patients in all aspects of their care.
