Ryan A. Cotton, PT, DHS, OCS
Dr. Ryan Cotton is a 1998 graduate of the University of Evansville with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. He received his Doctor of Health Sciences degree from the University of Indianapolis in 2006. Ryan’s doctoral research was on shoulder outcomes for post-operative and non-operative shoulder pathology and the development of a predictive model for patients with non-operative shoulder pathology. His ongoing research continues to focus on clinical outcomes and their application toward improving patient care and predicting outcomes.
Dr. Cotton serves as the Director of Clinical Operations at Body One and practices at the Fishers location. Over his career, Ryan has developed a niche practice in the management of musculoskeletal conditions of the spine. He is recognized by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists as a Certified Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy since 2006. Ryan is the founding director of Body One’s Orthopaedic Clinical Residency Program which collaborates with the Krannert School of Physical Therapy at the University of Indianapolis. He currently serves as faculty and clinical mentor within this program. He is also active on the board of the APTA Indiana Chapter, and has a long history on the Board of Directors of Rock Steady Boxing.
Dr. Cotton was honored to receive the Anthony D. Certo memorial award for 2018. This award is given by the APTA, Indiana Chapter to recognize and honor members who have made a distinguished contribution of time, energy, and expertise toward furthering the profession of physical therapy.
