Dr. Ryan Cotton is a 1998 graduate of the University of Evansville with a masters degree in physical therapy. During his masters studies, Ryan spent a semester in the Netherlands studying manual physical therapy. He received his doctor of health sciences degree from the University of Indianapolis in 2006. Ryan’s doctoral research was on shoulder outcomes for post-operative and non-operative shoulder pathology and the development of a predictive model for patients with non-operative shoulder pathology. His ongoing research continues to focus on clinical outcomes and their application toward improving patient care and predicting outcomes.
Dr. Cotton is a partner at Body One and practices at the North Meridian location. Over his career, Ryan has developed a niche practice in the management of musculoskeletal conditions of the spine. He is recognized by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists as a certified specialist in orthopaedic physical therapy. Ryan has been instrumental in the development of an orthopaedic clinical residency in collaboration with the Krannert School of Physical Therapy at the University of Indianapolis and currently serves as the Clinical Director of this program. He is active in mentoring residents and doctoral physical therapy students.
